Hockey town

In 1952, Detroit's Red Wings fans began a tradition of throwing octopi onto the ice at Olympia Stadium to symbolize the eight playoff wins needed for a Stanley Cup victory. This tradition has continued even in regular season games becoming a staple of the Red Wings identity.

Detroit vs Everybody is a sentiment that echos through out the city, people are proud of where they’re from and even more so of their teams. I chose references from iconic Detroit imagery paying homage to the city’s sports teams.

City inspired

Motown Records was founded in January 1959. It quickly became one of the most successful businesses and the most influential independent record companies defining a generation of American Musicians.
