Story #1

The Original

Dancing inspired

I was briefed seasonally to create graphics that tied to a major brand footwear campaign. With a mis-aligned calendar we had to rush out designs with little room for adjustment. This left much to be desired from a design and consumer point of view. I asked myself, what if we created a story that was more adaptable? Turning a shoebox into a character redefined how we approached Nike footwear heroes for apparel without having to connect to direct footwear models. Simply telling a footwear story without the shoe.

Story #2

BOXY ONE off’s

After the success of the first boxy graphic, the character started to have a life of its own. Going from a few iconic Nike shoeboxes dancing, to being turned into “Un-boxy” or even doing some graffiti to connect to seasonal print & pattern work.

Story #3

BOXY VR

Boxy VR was a story of connecting sport & video games. Connecting these threads with comical tropes that happen to VR games like running into a wall, or tying it to the classic Gatorade ads with athletes sprinting on treadmills.
